Sponsored Access

Chi-X Europe's Sponsored Access service allows a firm (the "Sponsored Client") to directly connect to Chi-X using the membership of another firm (the "Sponsoring Firm" or "Sponsor"). The Sponsored Client is able to fully access Chi-X Europe's high throughput, low latency trading engine and utilise Chi-X's innovative order types.

As the Sponsor is responsible for the activity of the Sponsored Client, a number of validation criteria to the Sponsored Client's activity can be applied on the Sponsor's behalf.

Chi-X Europe was the first MTF to be granted regulatory approval to offer Sponsored Access.

Validation and Control Criteria that can be applied by the Sponsor:

• Restricted list functionality
• Pre-trade checks based on Sponsor defined values
• Real time visibility of open and executed business
• Alerting based on traded consideration
• Enforcement of traded consideration limits
• Ability to automatically halt trading of Sponsored Client activity

Costs:

Chi-X Europe makes no charges to Sponsored Clients

The Sponsoring Participant pays a £375 fee per month, per All Messages Drop Feed (AMDF), per Sponsored Client

There are no network charges however cross connect fees will be levied to the Sponsoring Participant if applicable
