Tony Mackay

Chairman, Chi-X Europe Limited

Tony Mackay was appointed Chairman of Chi-X Europe in June 2006. Tony was President and CEO of Instinet Europe Limited at the time he spearheaded the establishment of Chi-X Europe Ltd. Having joined Instinet in 1995 as Dealing Director for Asia Pacific in Hong Kong, in 1999 he moved to London to establish Instinet's Asian operations in Europe. In 2001, Tony moved back to Asia to further develop Instinet's Asian business and has served as President and CEO of Instinet Japan and CEO of Instinet Asia. Tony was also a founding Director of Japan Cross - the first off-exchange crossing network in Japan.

Tony began his stock broking career in 1980 in Australia and has worked for a number of global broking firms in Australia, Asia and Europe.
