In May 2006 a new Trade System of Origin (TSO) of 'N' was added to CREST for the Chi-X market.

Trading Participants will be able to use the new TSO to identify a transaction that originates from Chi-X. Such transactions will be subject to settlement discipline. Furthermore, Trading Participants will be eligible for intermediary relief and lending relief, where appropriate.
